Hello there. Welcome to Crafts-of-Taxidermy.

Our Aims and Guidelines.

* To appreciate all forms of taxidermy and fur. Whether it be traditional rigid taxidermy or crafts using real fur. We even include faux taxidermy here.

*to provide a safe haven for all those who appreciate or practice taxidermy. Any rude or hurtful behaviour towards our members will not be tolerated. If you are part of this group you will be banned and we will always assist our members who are harassed whether the harasser is part of our group or not.

*to provide an engaging platform where all members can help and support each other. We do not discriminate against our members. The only checks we make when accepting deviations is that they follow both our guidelines and that of DeviantArt.

*We do not perform quality control, meaning that every member should feel safe to submit their work to the group. If someone harasses a member for sharing their hard work by claiming that it is, for example, not good enough, of poor taxidermy quality, they will find themselves out of the croup. We want to encourage sharing of knowledge and of taxidermy, not bully people.

*all images should be clear enough so as the subject is distinguishable. Please try to make them as good as you can, however we understand that not everyone is a good photographer or has the best equipment. If the average person is able to see what your image is, we will definitely accept it. Only on rare occasions when we cannot work out what it is, will be regretfully decline.

*images added to the Animal Resources will be under higher scrutiny. This folder is designed to provide accurate resources for taxidermists and crafters and so any images submitted will need to be of good quality so that others can use it.

*tutorials should be clear and easy to follow. Again, we aim to provide accurate and helpful resources and tutorials are only helpful if the average person can understand them.

*Finally, remember we accept ALL forms of taxidermy and crafts that use fur or taxidermy. If you have a problem with a deviation in our gallery, please contact us via notes. Do not harass the image saying that it should not be allowed in the group. The admin staff know what to allow and what not to allow, there is little chance that something in the gallery that should not be there. However we are only human and mistakes can be made. By noting us privately, we can resolve any problems easily and without offending anyone.
